I'm Happy to be a Gator

We are looking forward to seeing what Jordan Reed, the Gators' freshman QB, has to bring to this team. For now, he is just "happy to be a Gator".

Freshman quarterback Jordan Reed is happy to be a Gator.

Don’t believe me? Ask Jordan yourself. He will tell you he’s happy to be a Gator, no matter what you ask him.

Check out the transcript from Thursday afternoon, his first interview as a Gator.

If nothing else, we learned that he is good at taking orders. Quarterbacks coach Scot Loeffler told Reed right before the interview to give the same stock answer to every question.

Has it been a lot of anticipation from the time you signed with the Gators to finally be able to put on the uniform?

“I’m just happy to be a Gator.”

What was practice like as far as learning the offense?

“I’m just glad to be here learning.”

Come on, you can’t let Coach do this to us. He can’t hear you anymore. You can give honest answers.

“I’m just happy to be here. I like being here.”

What do you think about the offense?

“I mean obviously a great offense. I’m just happy to be here.”

When you see Tim Tebow, a QB that is so good, what does that make you think when you first come in here as a freshman?

“That’s why I’m so happy to be here, ’cause I get to follow behind Tebow.”

How much interaction have you had with Tebow?

“We meet with him. I’m just happy to be a Gator.”
