A few stats for Friday

A few stats to ponder as we head into the second game of the season:
  • Florida has won 11 straight games since losing to Ole Miss last September. A win over Troy will tie the school record for consecutive wins, set in the 1995 season, when Florida won the first 12 games of the season.

  • Florida quarterback Tim Tebow has 44 career rushing touchdowns, which is tied for 4th most in SEC history. Auburn's Carnell Williams is next on the list with 45, with LSU's Kevin Faulk at 46. Georgia's Herschel Walker is No. 1 in SEC history with 49. Tebow has also thrown at least one touchdown pass in 29 consecutive games, the longest active streak in the nation. Kansas' Todd Reesing is next with 19 consecutive games with a touchdown pass.
