Tebow's eye black for Tennessee: Romans 8:28

The Gators won it, and it is was exciting, but it was also sloppy.

Romans 8:28 is also a very curious verse to wear in a so called "revenge" game.

"We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God-those whom he has called according to his plan."

Most Christians know this verse as the verse you hear when unexplained misfortune or tragedy overtakes you, and as such, this is maybe one of the most used but least popular verses for many Christians.

We don't believe in jinxes, but NO WAY would we ever want to see that on eye black. Romans 8:28 is the kind of thing someone would try and console you with after the Ole Miss loss last year. So we're going to take it as that. This year's non-blowout home win against Tennessee is the wake up call for the Gators. (and we were more than a little relieved when the 8:28 fell off)

So maybe Romans 8:28 is alright after all.

(We'll be glad for something a bit more cheery next week.)

Long hot one in the Swamp, play of the game tomorrow!
