Louis Murphy proving them wrong

Ben Volin has a great story on Louis Murphy's success in the NFL.

Louis Murphy heard it dozens of times before, during and after last April’s NFL Draft – Florida receivers don’t succeed in the NFL.

The critics said Steve Spurrier’s receivers were overvalued because they played in a gimmick offense. Now the critics say Urban Meyer’s receivers can’t succeed in the NFL because no one uses Florida’s spread-option offense in the pro game, and the receivers have too much to learn once they reach the NFL. ...

But Murphy, a rookie for the Oakland Raiders and the team’s leading wide receiver through six games, is having a fun time proving everyone wrong.

Watch Murphy (#18) throw two blocks.
