Tim Tebow was not present at Florida's Thursday practice, which means he won't participate in any team drills until next week. The Gators held their last team practice of the bye week before getting a three-day break. The team will reconvene on Monday in preparation for LSU.
A team source said Tebow is doing "much better, ahead of schedule" in the concussion recovery process. Under strict concussion guidelines, Tebow must be asymptomatic -- basically no aftereffects -- for seven days before game participation. Team trainers are unavailable for comment on whether Tebow is still experiencing headaches, soreness or other symptoms.
