A quarterback will arrive at Scott Field for Saturday's 6:30 p.m. Southeastern Conference matchup between Mississippi State and No. 2 Florida wearing a smile on his face and his faith on his sleeve.
This quarterback spent the offseason visiting with groups, trying to be a role model while using his celebrity as a way to influence people for the better.
And this quarterback isn't named Tim Tebow.
It's Tyson Lee, MSU's senior QB.
Though Tebow, the 2007 Heisman Trophy winner, gets plenty of national pub for his strong faith and good deeds off the field, Lee is essentially Starkville's version. Put aside for a moment what they have done and can do on the field and examine what they do outside of shoulder pads and you'll see that Tebow, Florida's All-American QB, and Lee, a former walk-on, are strikingly similar.
