Michael Guilford will be honored today, along with the rest of the Gator seniors.
As he was for most of his Monday news conference, coach Urban Meyer got got emotional when asked about Guilford. His eyes glazed and he choked up when he said Guilford's family will be in attendance Saturday, as he will be honored with the rest of his classmates.
"He's a part of this group," Meyer said. "(His death) really stung this football team. He'll be part of senior day."
Guilford, who was nicknamed "Sunshine" because his long golden hair resembled that of the character Sunshine from the movie "Remember the Titans," won praise from players and coaches in 2006 for his practice imitations of Arkansas running back Darren McFadden before the 2006 SEC Championship Game and Ohio State quarterback Troy Smith before that national championship game.
