NCAA to retire eye black messages

We particularly like the "in other news" in the NCAA Football Rules Committee's press release. Why didn't they just come out and call it the "Tebow Rule"?

Do you think this was to honor Tebow, by retiring eye black messages after his departure from college football? Or is it something else?

In other news, the committee clarified several equipment issues for 2010, including an issue regarding “eye black.” The committee agreed that if a player elects to wear eye shade, it must be solid black with no words, numbers, logos or other symbols.
