McDaniels wouldn't give any hints on Thursday about whether he'd choose Tebow or fellow backup Brady Quinn.
"Whatever is best for the team," McDaniels said. "Like I said before, I don't have any plans to activate three. ... Just planning on probably making a decision here shortly towards the end of the week here and then playing the game."
Quinn was mostly underwhelming in his preseason appearances, though his 103.1-rated performance in the finale may have helped his cause.
It's a good bet the Broncos will activate Tebow, however, because of the potential for special packages he can be employed in. As the second active QB, he can enter and exit the game at the coach's discretion.
