Alabama Governor names March 16 "Tim Tebow Day"

Wonders never cease.  The Governor of Alabama, Robert Bentley, named March 16 (3/16) "Tim Tebow Day."  And the Mayor of Montgomery, capital city to the State of Alabama, awarded Tebow a key to the city.  Really.

Tebow visited Montgomery to help raise funds for the Cancer Wellness Foundation for Central Alabama.

One Alabama commentator did mention the current Peyton Manning courtship and where it might leave Tebow in the future:

Tebow is a great guy. He’s a good leader. He inspires his teammates. And while that might help you win a pathetic division and slide into the playoffs, it won’t win you championships.

Tebow’s days as a full-time starting QB in the NFL are numbered. And that’s why I think his days as a full-fledged celebrity are also numbered.

Kids don’t idolize backup quarterbacks. ESPN doesn’t hype a fullback.

I wish that wasn’t the case. I wish it were possible for a good guy like Tebow to remain a celebrity, regardless of stats and playing time.
Because we’ve got enough quarterbacks. We could use a few more Tebows.

To that we all know the answer; 'ppreciate that. (And Go Gators!)
